At Syntron Controls, we manufacture electronic equipments like Automatic Power Factor Controllers, etc. used for an efficient utilization of the electric supply. The instruments are mounted on Electrical Panels in commercial and industrial establishments, being generally installed at the place where electric supply enters the premises. (The instruments are not useful for domestic application).
From the beginning in 1982, our main thrust has remained in building Automatic Relays for complete control of the Power Factor. In simple layman terms, power factor of an electrical installation is the efficiency of utilization of electric power. It is measured as the ratio of real power to apparent power (Watts to VA). Obviously, the highest ratio is 1.00 (you cannot use more power than you take). Now, the aim of our Automatic Power Factor Control Relay (APFCR) is to control the Power Factor (PF) to the value set by user or ideally, to try to achieve the best possible power factor under system constraints. The APFCR does this by switching "power capacitors" provided in the panel of the purpose.
